Technically if you were to trace the history of this site, it used to be shouck.com, a domain I still hold onto for pure nostalgia. It was a manually created weblog (yeah, when blogs were still called web-logs, and involved manual coding) as a playground for design and to keep in touch with friends from overseas after I graduated and returned to Singapore.
While the frequency of my blogging correlated to how much free time I had and how much writing I was doing for work, shouck.com has always been playground and avenue for expression and creativity. Topics ranged from the mundane, personal to the profound and perhaps fustian.
On the other hand, Shouchen.net was created as an online portfolio for my actor persona. I was a good follower of online-persona management: keep them distinct.
No longer. Both sites have been combined into one profile-management-rule-flouting blog. Writing nazis may feel peeved by the conflicting writing styles and the inconsistent editorial content. I will point out that WILL be the case. But I hope the sum of the parts will speak for itself.
But thank goodness for Web 2.0 and metadata.
